Foam-fast is the simple to use way to improve the effectiveness of water in protecting your home and property from fire.  The Foam-fast nozzles fitted with an easy to use solid foam stick produce foamy water which is 3 to 5 times wetter than water.  This makes it last longer when used as a wetting agent on homes, structures and in fact on any standard combustible materials.  It can even be used to spray around the garden to increase the resistance of shrubs and trees to fire and heat.

Foam is used by fire departments worldwide as a fire extinguishing agent and pre-treatment agent for flammable and combustible materials. When proportioned with water using the appropriate nozzles Foam-fast stick concentrate changes the properties of the water, reducing the surface tension and allowing for greater penetration in all Class-A fuel and wildfires. It also gives the water a foaming ability allowing it to remain and cling to the surfaces without run off as quickly as plain water.

Foam is effective in pre-treating fire fuels as well as fighting bush and grass fires and many deep seated fires such as hay, paper and wooden structures. By using foam you can extend the usefulness of a limited water supply and make your fire protection system 3-5 times more effective than with plain water alone.

The foam is enclosed in a soluble solid round stick approx 300mm long and 30mm diameter.  When fitted to the foam dispenser nozzle, and with water passed over the sticks, the units produce a foamy water ideal for fire protection around the home or farm.

While foam is commonly used by fire professionals, the system employed are often complicated and require training.  The Foam-fast kits are much easier to use:

· No settings or calibrations

Model 4010R-3LB, is ideal for homes on mains water especially around the metropolitan fringe or near bush or grassland in towns and cities.

· Connect to a garden hose via ¾” BSP female thread inlet

· Only needs 12 lpm at 210kPa to work – ideal flow from a normal garden hose

· Comes complete with the special foam nozzle, which includes an isolating valve

· Includes three foam cartridges which will last up to 1 hour for this model

Model 4010R-30B Foam-fast kit is ideal for connection to a Davey Firefighter®.  

· The special foam nozzle connects to a 1” male BSP thread

· Includes a D-Handle pistol-grip shutoff valve – just like the professionals!

· This model needs 120lpm at between 350 to 850kPa to operate

· Includes six Foam-fast sticks - each foam stick lasts up to 30 minutes for this model
