Ozone Sanitising Systems

Satisfactory sanitisation is an essential part of any spa pool and swimming pool maintenance program to ensure that your water remains clean and free from disease causing micro-organisms that could be harmful to your health. 

Untreated, warm water can be a breeding ground for bacteria, viruses, mold & mildew, so it is important that as a pool owner, appropriate measures are taken to rid the water of any nasties by daily undertaking of a sanisation and filtration program.

What is ozone?

Ozone is "active oxygen" and a natural purifier that is completely safe on people and equipment when used in the very small doses required for ozone treatment. 

Ozone is an excellent accompaniment to traditional chlorine and bromine used in pool & spa applications and can significantly reduce the quantity of chemicals required, without leaving any traces of by-products or affecting the pH balance of the water. 

For a relatively low initial investment, ozone generators are an automatic system that injects ozone into the water during set filtration cycles.  Ozone removes chloromine a by-product of chlorine and is known to kill bacteria, viruses, cysts, yeast, mildew and mould.  It doesn't irritate the skin, discolour hair or clothing and is a safe means of eliminating  disease causing micro-organisms from air and water.

Ozone however does not have the ability to kill algae and so as such must be used in conjunction with chlorine or bromine for optimum results.
